A New Start

I want to start this post out by apologizing. I originally planned to update the blog more often, but it was too much to keep up with at the time, and I slacked off on the posting. I’m sorry for not keeping up with the posting.

We officially moved in to the trailer about a month ago, and while we still have some work to do, it certainly feels like home. I plan to take this blog a bit of a new direction. I’m excited for this change. Before I get too far ahead of myself, here are some recent photos of the trailer:

There’s still some more work to do, but most of it is cosmetic. I plan on replacing some windows and the back door, as well as adding a back porch. We also have to skirt the trailer before winter, and I plan on doing a post on that. Eventually I plan on painting the exterior and possibly adding some gutters. I will also recoat the roof, but that will probably have to wait for next spring or summer. With autumn starting here in Missouri, I don’t want to start to coat the roof and have leaves and such fall on it.

I have some living history events coming up this month and next, so expect some posts on that. In November, there’s firearms deer season in Missouri, so I will likely make that post as well. Apart from that, posts may be sporadic. Just be sure to check in often to see what’s new. I also incourage you to follow my blog if you aren’t, as that is the best way to be informed of new posts.

Thank you and until next time,

The Historical Hillbilly.
